Pen Pals is a 9-week program designed to give your writing life the boost it needs — and to give you the time you deserve to pursue your passion.

We’ll begin our time together by setting goals and benchmarks and working together to create a writing plan to help you reach them in the nine weeks that follow. In Weeks 1-3, I’ll walk you through story planning. In Weeks 4-7, we will share our progress and workshop our stories. In Weeks 8-9, we’ll work on the editing/revision process and offer the opportunity for virtual readings so we can celebrate how far we’ve come.

In addition, our weekly rotation of mini-tasks and content will help you keep your writing muscles warm…

MONDAY: You’ll get a pump-up pep talk in the form of a podcast from me to get you ready for the week ahead. I’ll also invite you to check-in and share your goals with the rest of the group.
TUESDAY: You’ll receive a video writing lesson tailored to where we are in the program.
WEDNESDAY: I’ll share a writing prompt relevant to our work for the week.
THURSDAY: You’ll be asked to submit your brief work on the writing prompt.
FRIDAY: I’ll give you feedback on your writing prompt and reading recommendations for the weekend.

Each Pen Pals session has eight open slots, which means you’ll have a cozy, dedicated group of other creatives to help you throughout the program. Plus, I’ll be bringing you my own extensive experience!
